Token Female is a project promoting equity, inclusivity, fairness, safety, hope and compassion.

Together, our growing community of next-generation NFT collectors are proud to show their support for women's charities and to challenge the dogma that underpins the way traditional art has over-valued male contributions - despite scientific evidence that men's art is

non-superior and has no detectable aesthetic difference.

In fact, Token Female is the NEW and GENUINE way in which to support women's journey into W3 and NFT collections, creation and sales.

Turning tradition on its head, the Token Female Community sees the value in rare commodities. Only 15% of digital NFT art is the work of women. We should see women's art as a rarity, a valuable asset and as objects that are socially, culturally and economically important in their uniqueness.

Token Female is the work of the English illustrator, Lily Steel, who has chosen to use the popular simplified pixelated  style to represent popular 'pin-up' female characters with a retro-futuristic twist.

 

The project is fun, funky, thought-provoking and tongue-in-cheek. The characters, based on popular pin-up image of the 40s to 50s, promotes household appliances of the future, which frees them up to pursue their aspirations and fulfil their true potentials as female citizens of the 22nd Century.

Each character has a name, a backstory and a charity they support. 20% of each NFT sale goes to the character's chosen charity, including Imkaan, Action  Aid, Wish, BCRF, Fawcett Society, Women In Sport and Plan UK.

This collection of <10K unique art pieces will be released to a select group of collectors in 2022 and will be rolled out to a wider audience in 2023.
